Recovering waste grease on a dragline or shovel shutdown is an extremely time consuming task, currently carried out by hand. The waste grease is scraped up, put into plastic bags; the plastic bags are put into open lid drums and placed on pallets ready for collection from site. The waste grease is then transported to a facility for appropriately approved treatment / destruction.

The PACS 1000 Multipurpose Vacuum Unit in combination with the pressure cleaning attachment can be used to pressure clean the grease and surrounding area while using the vacuum capacity of the PACS 1000 to recover the grease into the 4500 litre tank. From there the grease can be diluted with an appropriate cutting agent and sent off with waste oil.
